, 68, 69, 60

  Shows:  Matinee, evening.

Two shows.  Matinee and Evening.  Great run with West Side Story.  I really hope I can do this again sometime.

Back to class.  Had a little rant and didn’t play enough.  Lots of work tomorrow!

Two lessons in the morning.  Working on groove, groove, groove.  All the complicated harmony in the world can’t equal a good groove.  Tim Collins once said: “I don’t want to play complicated music.”  That can be great sometimes, but often, the most visceral musical experience comes from the one that we can relate to on the most fundamental level.  Don’t underestimate instinct!
